T.B. Control Programme.

Aims and Objective:- The main aims and objective of RNTCP in all the 7(Seven) districts of the State was under the supervision of the DTO (District T.B. Officers) to supervise and monitor all the CHCs, PHCs under the concerned district . TB Control Programme in Meghalaya has been implemented under DHS (M.I), Meghalaya, Shillong through the technical head of State TB officer. The RNTCP Programme was launched in the entire State on the 23rd October 2003, and all the 7 Districts were approved to start delivery on the RNTCP Directly observation Treatment (DOTS) the TB Patients in the State regularly as per need.

The main Objective of the Programme are as follows:-

To Achieve and Maintain Cure rate of 85 % among newly detected Infective (New Sputum Smear Positive) cases.
To Achieve and Maintain the Case Detention Rate of 70% as per 1 (One) lakh population.
To Achieve the Conservation rate of 90%.
